Love this post - this idea nature can fix us is in danger of becoming damaging as again it is us “using nature”’l is it. As you said we need to think as partnership, connections, the links - not just us using the world again. Thanks for getting my brain working!
What excellent points you make about greenwashing Wendy. I've just walked home after dropping our car off for its annual service (😑) and struggled up a couple of steep traffic-filled roads. Then I took the short cut that leads to our house across a frosty field. Only crows, magpies, a tethered horse and a gentle shower of hailstones. Bliss! I stood there still and breathless - in the best possible way ❤️ Good luck with the kitchen shenanigans... something we need to do as well, but keep putting off...
Thankyou! I'm sitting here replying as a drill sound like its taking a wall down downstairs hehehe bu I can see the kitchen taking shape and I am so excited to get back in there and cook!
Nope, you need do nothing. The course will be through substack, so if you're a paid subscriber it will be delivered in the body of a substack post. I'll remind everyone of the facebook link too.
Nature really alters things doesn’t it! I go birdwatching with my son and it’s just the best thing for switching the brain off the to for list and really noticing the world around us. He writes his bird sightings down in a little moleskine note book, makes a beautiful record.
It’s lovely! We go to Low Hauxley every school holiday throughout the year and we are lucky that there is a bird hide - two actually - in our village nature reserve

Yes - partnership, connections. Exactly that x
Wonderful and feel every word of this.
Thank you
Most welcome and stunning photographs too.
Fully agree, but can’t take the credit for the pics, sadly.

Inspiring xxx
By the way, is there anything subscribers need to do to sign up for What to Look for in Spring, or will you send us all a link? Sounds fab.

How beautiful to be able to share that experience with him too.
