Thank you for the shoutout! I particularly liked Mantra 1. As a multi passionate person I’m drawn to trying disparate things all at once. Sometimes it leads to extreme exhaustion but most other times it leads to unexpected connections that drive me forward. I’ve come to see myself as a bee hopping from flower to flower. The honey will come.
I love reading your writing Wendy and really admire your strength and perseverance, your honesty and capacity to look at new perspectives. I too took on a PhD and stepped off the trail, concentrating on my writing. The only thing I would add with regard to the mantra about everyone trying to get where they want to be, is that I see the journey itself as motivating if we can participate with fervour or quiet fortitude, a destination means we have arrived somewhere, which seems static to me. Or, as the dreamer turning over in her sleep, ready for a new adventure, hopefully with what we have learnt as a guide.
