Part 1

Daffodils

They are everywhere right now. National symbol of Wales, emblem of cancer charities, feature of poetry, glory of roadsides and woodlands. There are 36 species of daffodil and people have been using them medically for thousands of years. There is one native species of daffodil in the UK, usually found in woodlands. It is a delicate yellow, small, with a deep yellow centre.
