Funding for writers is vital. Very few writers make a living solely from their writing. Below you’ll find a list of jobs in the arts sector, grants, paid residencies and competitions to help you fund your writer life. I’ve done the leg work so you don’t have to.

But first, can I remind you that the Dawn Chorus returns next week, 11th March. This time, it’s accompanied by the Dusk Chorus. The principle is the same:

Community

Accountability

Inspiration

The Dawn Chorus is a special place, a calm environment with an optional writing prompt where we begin the day with a poem or an extract of non fiction and then set to our writing. It’s a great way to find time to prioritise your writing.

I’m now also running the Dusk Chorus for those who are not early birds. The aim of the Dusk Chorus is to end your day with writing, making sure you find time to prioritise your own work. You can book your place/s and find full details by clicking on these buttons.

And now, to the writing opportunities…
