This is the last post of the first season of Notes from the Margin Writing community, thank you so much for your support. Tonight is our end of season open mic where I hope I’ll see a few friendly faces. The theme for season two is ‘small steps’.
Literal small steps - observing and noticing and taking the time to move through your environment.
Career small steps - analysing your own progress, planning your future work, moving forward at a pace that’s right for you.
Season two is about listening to your inner voice and finding the right path for yourself. There will be the usual journal prompts, How To and insider essays as well as opportunities lists like this one, an end of season open mic, but I’m also bringing in a monthly workshop. More info to come.
And as if that wasn’t enough, I’ll also be bringing in a little more life writing, memoir writing skills, to go alongside the poetry.
And so - onto this month’s opportunities list which is a bumper crop including call outs for scripts, poetry competitions, travel grants for writers, science essay competitions, nature writing competitions….
